On 8, 9 and 10 March 2012, the third annual Flicks International Student Short Film Festival will take place in Groningen, the Netherlands.

The festival will showcase short films of film academy students, film school students and other young film makers from around the world. Various themes and genres will be presented, so be surprised!

Tickets are avaiable from the 13th of February. Don’t waste any time, as we have a limited amount of seats available! Get yours at the Usva reception (Munnekeholm 10, close to the Der Aa Kerk):

Grand jury prize goes to the documentary Bottoms Up, directed by Maciej Głowiński (Poland). This film is about the alcohol problem in Poland. Thanks to bathes in icy water, the yoga and meditation Jurek finished with drinking. This extraordinary film shows that it is possible to live without a bottle and it will turn your life around.
